Dear friends,

I hope you’re having a great month.

I am just back from retreat in the quiet farmlands of Boyaca, Colombia. It was really lovely. Our studies focused on the constellations (i.e. the planets and stars) and their impact on our lives and our physiology. It was supreme learning in the company of some beautiful people and landscapes. 

The more I travel, the more I see the contrast between how we live in Canada, and how others live in other parts of the world. Of course, I am in some ways envious of those who can garden year round or do not have to face the brutal winter! But really, the great freedom that many of us have access to today is truly astounding, if not unprecedented in human history.

How we use our freedom is our own choice. It is through our choices and beliefs that we constantly create the reality that we experience. The more we participate in life from our inner knowing and our true passions, the more we align with a reality that supports us in just about every way imaginable. It still amazes me, every day.

Of course, there are always challenges along the way, and you don’t always get everything you want right away! But you get what you need, or so say the Rolling Stones. Or perhaps more accurately, you realize that you already are what you need. And the beautiful order supports you. Constantly. Generously. Ridiculously. Sometimes tumultuously, but it is poetic nonetheless.

It is said that, if the only spiritual practice that you ever really learn is gratitude, that is actually enough.

The more I experience life through this lens, the more I tend to agree.

March 2016 will mark some fairly important energies, with a solar eclipse on March 8, the Spring Equinox  on March 21 and the lunar eclipse of the full moon on March 23.

In times of transition, it’s a good idea to stay close to yourself. Be sure to make extra time for rest, self-care and quiet time in nature.

Your meditation practice is also an excellent tool to keep your neutral mind, and to be able to pass through the experiences of this month with clarity, and without taking things personally. If you are looking for a safe space for personalized, neutral feedback, I am also available for one-on-one sessions, and have a great line-up of courses coming up for spring 2016.
